Like many ambitious professionals in the AECO industries, I foresee Hong Kong as a leading smart city that drives excellence in applied technologies and sustainability. To this end, I have dedicated myself to transforming the lighting industry beyond its current scope -- by combining ultra-efficient lighting design, connected lighting monitoring, IoT sensor data, and AI agents with Building Information Modeling (BIM) applications.
With over 17 years of experience in the lighting industry, I have taken up roles in sales, marketing, product management, and application architecture; participated in significant large-scale lighting projects, including LED lantern replacements for public lighting of roads and tunnels, sports lighting design for the main stadium of Kai Tak Sports Park, lighting renovations for APPLE regional flagship stores, and various lighting applications for offices, warehouses, and NGOs. As a member of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), I serve on the Board of Administration for its Hong Kong branch, contributing to the development and dissemination of the latest lighting standards, as well as fostering professional growth in the industry through teaching Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses on sustainable lighting and building energy codes for organizations such as CIE, HKIE, and the Macao E&M Engineer Association (AEEMM) from 2022 to 2025.
I look forward to the future of lighting by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, promoting sustainability, and empowering industry professionals with the knowledge to build a brighter, more sustainable world.
